APPLICATION ENGINEER
Reporting Relationship
Domestic Project and Sales Managers
Job Scope
1. Prepare complete Tender Response documentation, including, but not limited too, Table of Contents, Capability Statement, Compliance Statement, Formal Quotation, Scope of Works and Terms and Conditions, based on formal/budget requests for tender responses from the Domestic Project & Sales Division.
2. Provide technical assistance, as knowledge level permits, in conjunction with the Technical Support Group to the Domestic Project & Sales Division.
Responsibility
1. Respond to Request for Tenders and Request For Quotes based on requests from the Domestic Sales Division (budgetary or formal).
2. Liase with all relevant divisions to ensure all responses are returned on a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures relating to terms and conditions of sales.
3. In conjunction with the Technical Support group provide technical assistance as knowledge level permits, to the Domestic Project & Sales Division.
4. Maintain quality relationships between the Company and its customers.
5. Achieve complete product knowledge within Emerson Network Power’s product portfolio.
6. Ensure that provided sales tools and configurators are updated on a regular basis and to create and modify these tools in terms of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of applications.
7. Take all steps necessary to ensure the complete security of, and maintenance of, Company property including Price Lists, Literature and Equipment.
8. Report on all competitive activities likely to affect the Company’s business.
9. Ensure that all transactions adhere to Company policy covering selling prices, terms of payment, warranty, commissioning and other relevant aspects as per ENP’s Conditions of Sale.
10. At all times ensure that dress and appearance is presentable, that Company policy is well understood, and that the Company’s business is carried out in an efficient and professional manner.
11. Any task deemed appropriate by the National Product Manager and/or Director of Domestic Project & Sales
Skill Requirements
1. Recognised technical qualifications preferably in Electrical or mechanical engineering
2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Excel, with AutoCAD experience being an advantage.
3. Well organised and effective communication skills in contacting consultants, contractors and end users.
Education Requirement
Bachelor degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering
Experience Requirement
Minimum two year experience in telecommunication-application
engineering.
